We will be doing some touristy stuff before and after the wedding and we invite everyone to join us! Our plan is to spend time with friends before the wedding and family and family friends after, but we will be happy to see you whenever we can. We tried to pick activities that can accommodate large groups so don’t be shy about joining.

Tuesday, July 28

Donostia-San Sebastian, Spain
- Sample pinxos (Basque tapas) in different restaurants throughout the old city.
- Walk along the beach or up to the Monta Castle and see the view
Wednesday, July 29

Biarritz
- Hang out at the beach, watch the surfers
- Check out the shops
- More walks with spectacular coastal views
Thursday, July 30

Hike Larrun
- Hike or take the train up the mountain
- Picnic or eat at the restaurant at the summit
If we’re lucky, there will be Basque ponies!

Brunch and Fête de Baigorri
We will be hosting a late brunch/lunch at Jean’s dad’s house on Sunday. The village festival will also be going on throughout the day, starting with a parade at 11am (maybe 10am?) There will be carnival games for kids, dancing and street food, and fireworks in the evening.
Monday, August 3

Ispeguy - mountain pass between France and Spain
- Lunch at the restaurant at the top of the mountain with a view of the valleys
- Short hike around Ispeguy. You can walk along the mountains bordering France and Spain and see the view on both sides.
Aldudes
- Visit the boutique Pierre Oteiza. Sample local cured meats on the terrace, see the piglets, donkey rides for kids
Tuesday, August 4

Baigorri
- Watch a pelote match in Baigorri. Pelote is the Basque sport. There are many different variations of the game, including jaï alaï.
Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port
- Visit the village and check out the shops. Find out why this shop has a Jamaican flag.
